Denial is one of my favorite reads. It’s really amazing how Lisa Renee Jones wrote this book. She really has it when it comes to setting the scenes and the backgrounds. She gets to the deepest human side. The start is quite shocking. I just felt a deep hurt feeling how her heroine felt. Alone, in a foreign country with no past and no one to trust … literally nothing .. and as if that wasn’t enough. The most notorious Italian mobster tracking her. Well that is quite shaking. Right?
Well, she finds by her side at the hospital the handsome hero who is there to save her. He says he just found her on the street. Well, this might not all. He seems to be hiding something. To tell the truth, the protector predator mysterious hero with a dark history was a brilliant mix by Lisa for sure. It was quite appealing adding to that the heroine was completely lost in nowhere land. Well, for the rest of the novel, whenever Ella starts to put her trust, she is confronted by secrets and mysteries. Nothing is what it seems. She can’t get to the end of it.
Lisa is also very talented at story telling. It was a very thrilling read with just the perfect pace. I just couldn’t put this page turner down.
Now having said the pros here comes the one con. The book ends up suddenly leaving you in the middle of nowhere with promises to be continued in the next release in …… MAY .. MAY!!!! Actually 31st of May which is literally June. This was a downturn because you have to wait for more than 6 months to get to the rest of it. I might lose interest by that time. So many books are coming out. Most of them are interesting. While I still have it in the back of my mind that I didn’t get to the end of the story . Too bad for me!
Anyway .. If you are interested in breath taking romantic suspense .. This book is for you ..
