As war rages in 1944, young army lieutenant Lucas Athan recovers a sarcophagus excavated from an Egyptian tomb. Shipped to Princeton University for study, the box contains mysteries that only Lucas, aided by brilliant archaeologist Simone Rashid, can unlock.
These mysteries may, in fact, defy—or fulfill—the dire prophecies of Albert Einstein himself.
Struggling to decipher the sarcophagus’s strange contents, Lucas and Simone unwittingly release forces for both good and unmitigated evil. The fate of the world hangs not only on Professor Einstein’s secret research but also on Lucas’s ability to defeat an unholy adversary more powerful than anything he ever imagined.
From the mind of bestselling author and award-winning journalist Robert Masello comes a thrilling, page-turning adventure where modern science and primordial supernatural powers collide.
The Einstein Prophecy takes place in WWII time. A sarcophagus is excavated from an Egyptian tomb and has a mystery. Lucas is an ex army lieutenant. Simone Rashid is a half Egyptian archaeologist. They are both determined to reach the bottom of this mystery. Their paths should intersect in this adventure to reveal the buried secret.
The thriller takes place in WWII time. It has a very powerful start with Lucas at a mission to get that specific sarcophagus from Germany before being confiscated by the Nazis. As you read on very expectantly the action starts with a huge explosion. It happens inside the mine just as Lucas was about to reach the sarcophagus. Lucas loses one eye in this incident and he’s back to the states where he has a teaching job in a university. At a parallel line Simone a young half Egyptian half English archaeologist travels in a ship from Egypt to the states in persuit of the same sarcophagus. So what seem to be separate paths at the beginning should meet to complete this adventure. However, both Lucas and Simone have different agendas and Simone has her own secret.
This is a very good read. I’ve enjoyed it so much. Also the WWII era and the use of the Egyptian mysterious sarcophagus helped to enrich the mysterious atmosphere. I also liked the presence of Einstein in the plot. However, some parts were really predictable. If not for that I would have given it a 4th star.
